The number and types of projects are under constant change. Some simply take longer than others and some are sold/traded or cancelled. Currently, the focus is on old hot rods due to an accumulation of scrapped pieces. Since all of these are scratchbuilt from different car parts and pieces, completion times vary greatly. I've always loved old, vintage race cars of any type. I like the battle scarred rough image these cars display - this reflects in my projects.
I've had some requests to post details of some of these projects. Here's some examples:
The flip body bus is the sides from a 1940 Chevy Suburban, the back window section is 38 Ford sedan, frame is stepped and pinched Model A, rear is 64 Pontiac Le Mans posi, engine is small block Chevy and front end is 67 VW(more than adequate and safe).
The 3 window coupe started out as a 35 Ford truck cab. I shortened the ends on a 35 Chrysler frame and added a 61 Chrysler rear w/3:54 and sure grip. I used 66 Dodge A100 front leafs in the rear and dropped tube axle up front. The rear window section is 31 Model A sedan, the quarters are 36 Ford sedan, the decklid area was fabricated from some of the remaining pieces from the 40 Suburban, 28 Buick fenders and early 30s Chrysler product decklid. The top is filled with top from a 37 Ford. This is slated to be an older stlyed drag car(what else?) with 64 Chevelle 283 and 68 Muncie 4 speed.
The modified coupe stock car started as doors and rear section from a 30 Chrysler sedan. This was narrowed and fitted to a 30 Model A cowl. The quarters are 26 Essex, rest of decklid area is 27 Willys Knight and 20s Studebaker. Frame is 29 Model A. Front is 52 Ford, rear is early 70s Chevy. Engine is small block Chevy.
The roadster started as doors and cowl from a 27 Dodge sedan. Rear section is a combination of 38 Ford, 27 Ford, 28 Dodge and decklid is 61 Chrysler. Frame is 20s Essex. Rear is 68 Plymouth. Front is Super Bell dropped axle. Engine is Chevy 350/350. Originally the engine and trans for this roadster was to be a 61 Chrysler 383 and pushbutton trans. This setup has been slated for a 32 Hudson coupe project instead.
WANTED: 1932 HUDSON 5W COUPE DOOR-PASSENGER SIDE. WILL CONSIDER SEDAN DOORS OR ENOUGH PIECES TO GRAFT ONE TOGETHER.
